Giada, tell us about your Maldives!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought that this vacation, being the dream of a lifetime, would be one of the most beautiful vacations. I didn\u2019t think it would amaze me so much! An atoll is a quiet place, far from the chaos of the city. No vehicles, only seaplanes or \u201cdoni\u201d, no shoes and no stress! I imagined an atoll more or less like this. I realized how true everything I thought was only once I set foot on the pier that would take us to the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as they showed us our room I couldn’t believe it! It was everything a family on holiday could wish for!<\/strong> Spacious, fresh, unique. The thing that struck me most was that the television had been replaced by a glass window overlooking the beach. We had the sea not even 20 metres far from the room. The outdoor bathroom was amazing!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maldives: first day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“The first day we decided to rest, but we were too excited, and we wanted to discover the island. Next to our apartment there was the breakfast\/lunch\/dinner room. It was linked to the reception and the bar, under a large hut without walls equipped with a counter, stools and lots of sofas. There was a long list of drinks that we could ask for every day whenever we wanted, together with trays of snacks available every day at any time of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside the bar we found after dinner area, which was my favorite part. In the evening we met there. There were only Italians and we managed to share our experiences<\/strong>, and get to know each other making the atoll become like a large coexistence, all this perhaps due to the fact that we are Italian. In front there was the pool area, raised by a wooden platform. What can I say about the infinity pool, I loved going there at sunset and seeing the sun setting into the water from above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another thing that made the resort unique was the presence of hammocks and swings both in the water and out of the water present throughout the island, where everyone could relax and shelter from the sun. There was obviously also the beach volleyball court, an area dedicated to first aid, the area dedicated to diving, sub, snorkeling and even a small shop with souvenirs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maldives natural spots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“I think that if you go to the Maldives you must snorkel at least once<\/strong>. Our structure offered a free trip in the surrounding area every day at 11 a.m. and 16 p.m. and you could freely participate under the guidance of the island\u2019s biologist (who told us about every type of fish or coral that we found on the way). On the island there were 3 piers (including one that led to the water villas) from which you could observe the fish from above or dive from the ladders to start snorkeling. Personally I saw many sharks, turtles, manta rays and infinite types of fish never seen before (some not even in photos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The excursion we took included meeting turtles and the sandbar<\/strong>, the most unique place I have ever seen in my life. Not to mention the color of the water, it was surreal and impressive to see a strip of sand in the middle of the sea being crossed by waves coming from different directions. Of course, it was also unique to sail on board the “doni”, small motor boats from which you can dive and look at the 360-degree panorama, driven by Maldivians.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entertainment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“The entertainment was one of the aspects that I liked the most about the holiday<\/strong>. Never intrusive and insistent, they offered a lot of interesting activities in which you were free to participate or not, some of these were very typical, such as cooking typical foods together with the chefs of the resort or the trip to the island where they explained to us what their contribution was in safeguarding the corals and the environment.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was very hard to leave this place, I don’t deny that I cried and probably I still don’t realize that I went there and also that I left so soon, even if on the last day it seemed like I had been there for more than a month\u2026 what can I say, I would go back even now if possible!\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
